What feeds can be used?
Pelleted feed?  Chaff?  Wet feed?

Pelleted dry feeds work best in the Equine Easy Feeder

Grains also work well.

A vibrating coil can help ensure feed flows into the rotary valve in the motor for measured delivery into the feeder shute.

Lucerne and some other chaffs on their own may 'bridge' and leave an air gap so that no feed reaches the rotary valve.

If you want to use some chaff mixed with pellets, some trial and error may be needed.   Consider a ratio by volume of 3 scoops of pellets to 1 scoop of oaten chaff.

The feeder is not suitable for wet feeds or cubes.
